Tecogen Growth Triggers Internal Management Restructuring

WALTHAM, Mass., April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tecogen is proud to announce the promotion of Joseph Gehret to Chief Technical Officer and Jean Roy to primary Engineering Manager.

As Chief Technical Officer, Joseph Gehret will be responsible for leading technology development at Tecogen and defining the company's research and development efforts.  With an expansive depth and breadth of classic as well as cutting edge technology, Mr. Gehret has been integral in the development of all Tecogen products and technology for 30 years.  Mr. Gehret is the primary author on all of Tecogen's major patents.  In addition to leadership roles in all Tecogen technology development, Mr. Gehret has designed and developed the necessary hardware, as well as the software code, for all of Tecogen's product lines.  Mr. Gehret has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, also from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

As Manager of Engineering, Jean Roy will be responsible for all aspects of product development, design, testing, and manufacturing. Ms. Roy has over 25 years' experience with Tecogen products leading all levels of product development including design, testing, field service, and industry certifications.   She has authored many of our Installation and O&M manuals, sales literature, manufacturing and quality control documentation, and most recently took the lead in a peer-reviewed technical research paper on Tecogen's new ultra low emission technology that was published in an SAE journal.  Ms. Roy was previously the program manager for Tecogen's funded R&D projects such as the development of the InVerde 100 kW inverter-based CHP module, CERTS microgrid development, the Ultra emissions system, and the small CHP advanced engine, while also leading internal product development efforts including the Ilios heat pump water heater. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
