Induction Generator Based Cogeneration Modules Tecogen CM-60 & CM-75
Tecogen’s CM-60 and CM-75 Cogeneration Modules offer among the highest overall efficiencies of any CHP systems, and have the most proven high reliability and serviceability in their class.
Since their introduction in 1982, the CM-60 and CM-75 benefited from continuous technical improvements by Tecogen’s engineers. Today, they feature the latest advances in engine, controls, heat recovery, and ultra low-emissions technology.
- Pre-Packaged and Standardized – CM-60 and CM-75 modules come fully pre-packaged from
the factory, including engine, generator, oil/ jacket/ exhaust heat recovery, controls, electrical switchgear, emissions controls, and modem for remote monitoring and data-logging. This factory pre-packaging allows for standardization (no “one-of-a-kinds”) and minimizes installation cost and complexity in the field.
- Simplified Electrical Interconnection – These units utilize induction-type electrical generators, which provide a simple, user-friendly, and utility-friendly way to interconnect in parallel to the grid, with minimal additional requirements.
- ETL-Listed and State/ Utility Certifications – The CM-60 and CM-75 are fully ETL-labeled to the relevant UL standards. They are further certified in various states (including New York and under California’s Electric Rule 21), which qualifies them for simplified electrical interconnection with local electric utilities.
- Factory Run-Tested – All units are run-tested at full-load at Tecogen’s factory before being shipped to customer sites, to confirm proper performance and set-up, as part of Tecogen’s rigorous QC procedures.
- Ultra-Low Emissions and Outdoor Options – Common options include ultra-low emissions control packages, which allow these units to obtain local air permits in all parts of the country, as well as outdoor enclosures.
Unsurpassed Track Record & Factory Support – Well over one thousand Tecogen CM-60 and CM-75 Cogeneration Modules have been successfully installed at customer sites over the past 25 years. Most are serviced under factory service programs. Together, these Tecogen units have accumulated tens of millions of operating-hours in actual real-world duty. They have also delivered many millions of dollars worth of efficiency-driven cost savings to their host sites.
Tecogen’s CM-60 and CM-75 Cogeneration Modules are reliable and efficient building blocks for successful CHP projects, and have truly become the standard in the CHP industry.
